FX Navi Embodied AI Quadruped Robot
FX Navi is a compact embodied-AI quadruped robot from Faraday Future designed for young creators, education, research, coding exploration, and hands-on robotics development. The official FF page positions Navi as a first embodied AI quadruped robot: a platform learners can own, personalize, program, and use to move from ideas into working robotics projects.
The robot uses a 12-DOF motion structure with 12 joint motors, dynamic gait balance, adjustable motion parameters, and a maximum movement speed of up to 2 m/s with 360 degrees per second rotation. Official specifications list obstacle clearance up to 34 cm, roughly two hours of continuous runtime from a built-in lithium battery, and direct charging from a US-spec plug. Navi is intended for indoor flat-ground operation and education-focused experimentation.
For development, Navi provides open interfaces and a full toolchain that can include visual programming, SDK/API integration, Brain Blocks, Create Studio, EAI Soul, EAI Scribe, EAI Studio, and a Python SDK. The official material describes low-level interfaces for motion control, perception, and hardware-expansion APIs, plus OTA updates, app connection, a remote controller, and smartphone-assisted camera, microphone, display, LLM, and VLM capabilities.
FX Navi is also built as a creative learning object. A neutral chassis and soft bionic body wrap leave room for custom skins, 3D-printed head modules, personality design, and project-based STEM learning. Faraday Future describes use cases across classroom robotics, learning with robotics outside the classroom, language and arts projects, and AI-tutor-style experiences.
